GAME RULES

• Modified real baseball.  Scores and W-L records will be kept.
• Umpire makes the calls in the field for all plays.
• The game time is 1.5 hours.  No new innings may start after 1 hr and 15 minutes.
• 3 outs or 6 runs max per inning.  Teams keep batting until there are 3 outs or 6 runs scored.
• All batters and base runners must wear helmets.
• All players must wear an athletic supporter and cup.

HITTING

• After 3 strikes the batter is out.
• After 4 balls the batter is walked and awarded 1st base.
• Bunting is not allowed.
• All players on the team will bat in order.

BASE RUNNING RULES

• Leading off is not allowed and runners cannot leave the base until the ball crosses the plate.  Any runner leaving the base early will be called out.
• On a batted ball to the outfield, base runners may advance until an infielder has control of the ball between the baselines.
• Runners MAY advance one base on an overthrow.
• Runners MAY NOT advance on an overthrow on a steal, or throwback to pitcher.
• Runners MAY steal 2nd base after the batter has at least 1 strike.
• Runners MAY NOT steal 3rd base or home.
• Delayed stealing and intentional “pickle” is not allowed.
• Runners MAY NOT advance on overthrows or steals if team is up by 10 runs.
• A courtesy runner is allowed (last player out on batting team) at any time for the pitcher or catcher and MUST be used for the catcher if there are 2 outs.
• Runners must slide feet first on close plays.

FIELDING RULES

• 6 Infielders (P, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, C) and 4 Outfielders (remaining players will be on the bench)
• Outfielders must be in the grass and may make a play on any ball hit past the infield.
• Players must be rotated in the field each inning.  No player may play the same position more than once each game, except Catchers may play up to 2 innings in a game.
• Player cannot be on the bench more than 1 time a game

PITCHING RULES

• Pitchers MAY NOT exceed 2 innings per game (one pitch constitutes an inning).
• Innings do not need to be consecutive.
• After 3 walks and/or hit batsmen in an inning, the next batter will be pitched to by the hitting team’s coach.  The coach will pitch the rest of the inning until 3 outs.
• The coach must pitch overhand from the mound.

MISCELLANEOUS RULES

• Dropped third strikes are outs.
• If one team has fewer than nine (9) players, the other team will lend a player, or players, to that team so that the game can be played.  The player on loan to the opposing team is for defensive purposes only and he will bat for his own team.  The loaned defensive player shall be the last batter from the previous at bat each inning.  The pitcher and catcher of the loaner team shall be exempt. 
• No games will be played with less than seven (7) players; this will result in a forfeit.  Non-registered players are not eligible to play.
• Throwing of helmets or bats results in an out.
• Pitchers cannot wear batting gloves on either hand while pitching.
• The 15-run rule will apply after four complete innings.

Wood bats are allowed, but the handle must have a grip.
