For 2022, all PK-K will be on Monday & Wednesday evenings. 1st-2nd Grade will be on Monday & Wednesday evenings. 3rd-6th Grade will be Tuesday and Thursday evenings (3rd-6th subject to field availability. May include some Mondays).
Clinic, Practice and Game start times will vary depending on the number of teams and field availability. PK-K start times will most likely be the earlier start times between 5:30p-6p and lasting 1 hour. 1st-2nd will typically have start times after PK-K. 3rd-6th grade will start depending on field availability and play for 90 minutes.
PK-K: 60 minutes
1st-2nd: 60 minutes in May, 75 minutes after school is out.
3rd-6th: 90 minutes (30 minutes dedicated to pitching/catching)
Team schedules with specific times and locations for practices and games will be set and communicated prior to the start of the season. They will be available on the team page and available via ical subscription or through the SportsEngine mobile app.
PK-K: Primary fields will be Mendota Elementary, Moreland Elementary, Friendly Hills Middle School with some potential nights at Mendakota
1st-2nd: Primary fields are Friendly Hills Middle School, Mendota or Moreland Elementary, with some nights at Mendakota.
3rd-6th: Fields will include fields at Two Rivers High School, West St. Paul Complex, Friendly Hills Middle School, and Mendakota.
Age levels may play at other fields around the Mendota Heights/West St. Paul area. The fields listed above are typically the primary fields but depending on the number of teams in both baseball and softball, things can change.
South St. Paul may have a team participating in our league. If so, 1-2 game nights may be played on one of their fields.
We understand that every family wants plenty of time to eat dinner and comfortably arrive to the field. We also understand that every family wants to return home with plenty of time to get ready for bed. We would love to have more fields in our community so that every game and practice could start at 6:30pm and end at 7:30pm. Unfortunately, that is not the reality. We have many teams and limited fields. Some nights you may start at 5:30pm. Some nights you might end at 8:30pm. We try and prioritize getting the youngest kids off the fields earlier, which means younger kids may start earlier and older kids may end later. Even with those priorities, sometimes younger kids might go later or older kids starting earlier. It's a short season, enjoy the weather, and please be prepared to be adaptable and flexible with your dinner time and bed time schedules from May-July.
